Deciding to investigate, Blake heads back in the direction the fisherman came from, and learns that he was completely correct. Blake tries to escape unnoticed, but accidentally snaps a twig, drawing the attention of the invaders. Fleeing from the aliens, Dr. Blake tries to hide in a cave, as his mobility would have been limited even if he hadn't lost his cane. He discovers a secret chamber at the back of the cave, where he picks up a walking stick that transforms into Mjolnir, the hammer of Thor. The inscription reads: "whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of... Thor!" Blake is transformed into Thor itself, who proves to be a far more challenging opponent than the regular members of the U.S. military. The Stone Men flee back to Saturn.
